Our Rye Barrel-Aged Red Blend brings together the craftsmanship of California winemaking with the time-honored tradition of aging fine rye whiskey in oak barrels. This results in an incredibly bold and unique sensory expression. The cool climate of our coastal vineyards imparts our Rye Barrel-Aged Red Blend with aromas of boysenberry, black cherry, and baking spices, and lush, dark flavors of plum and blackberry. Select lots are then aged in Rye Whiskey barrels, delivering a twist of chocolate, gingerbread, sweet mesquite, and subtle toasted oak when added to the blend.
