Gul-Roo Espadin is produced in the community of Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca. The agave Espadin used in this mezcal are cooked in an underground pit oven, milled by horse drawn tahona, fermented using open air yeasts, and double distilled in a copper still.
Gul-Roo Mezcal is a Oaxacan enterprise with three generations of mezcal production as a family tradition. Located in the central valley of Oaxaca, Gül-Roo works to preserve the tradition of the master mezcaleros of the region. They also promote entrepreneurship and sustainability in the community of Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca.
