The 45th Anniversary 2013 vintage marked an important milestone for ZD Wines’ Cabernet program. This is the first ZD Cabernet Sauvignon to be made exclusively from organically certified vineyards. It represents the culmination of many years of hard work and a commitment to finding growing partners who share our enthusiasm for organic farming.

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend from several of our best Napa Valley sites, including our own ZD Rutherford Estate Vineyard, which has been farmed organically since the early 1980s.

With a gorgeous dark ruby color and intense aromas of ripe plums, cassis, tobacco and hints of lavender and vanilla, this wine is drinking beautifully right now. The palate is balanced with ripe dark fruits and lush, silky tannins that carry the wine through an amazingly long finish with just the right amount of oak for added complexity. About 880 cases were produced.
